Girl Scout Museum at Cedar Hill

Troops are welcome to visit the Girl Scout Museum at Cedar Hill, located in Dennett House. Learn how your mothers and grandmothers enjoyed Girl Scouting. See the uniforms they used to wear and the equipment they learned to use.
Each troop is personally greeted by a volunteer docent and is given a special guided tour according to the interests and age levels of the girls. To arrange for a visit for your troop call Volunteer Docent Coordinator Alice Tauer at (508) 653-5237.
- Brownie Girl Scout troops can enjoy hands-on activities, games, songs and stories.
- Junior Girl Scout troops can receive assistance in completing some of the activities for the badges Girl Scouting in the U.S.A. or Girl Scouting Around the World.
- Older Junior and Cadette Girl Scouts can arrange for Tea with Juliette, a live presentation with a docent portraying our founder.
Adults and Service Units will find many helpful items at the Museum:
- Archives - town files - photos and clippings
- Resources about Girl Scouting
- Program ideas relating to Girl Scout History
- Rental uniform collection
- Items may be borrowed for local exhibits
- Old handbooks and songbooks
The Girl Scout Museum will gladly accept Girl Scout items from any era: uniforms, photographs, memorabilia, magazines, newsletters and service unit papers (troop lists, programs, newspaper clippings, individual girl records, etc.)
