Manages the operations of the unit and oversees the health and well being of the campers and unit counselors. Implements the unit program. Group leadership, supervisory and camp experience needed. Preferred minimum age 21+. |
| Waterfront Director (Pool) Cedar Hill, Rice Moody |
Develops and organizes the waterfront program including swimming instruction, the use and maintenance of equipment and supervision of waterfront counselors. Must be 21+ years old, have current Lifeguard certification with CPR-PR. WSI desirable. |
| Waterfront Director (Open Water) Favorite, Wabasso/Menotomy, Virginia, Winnetaska |
Develops and implements the waterfront program including swimming instruction and boating, the use and maintenance of equipment and supervision of waterfront and boating staff. Must be 21+years old, have current Lifeguard certification with CPR-PR, WSI desirable. Experience with boating as well as swimming programs. |
| Health Supervisor |
Responsible for implementing the camp health plan and conducting programs on healthy behavior. Works in conjunction with local doctor. Responsibilities include record keeping (health forms and incident reports), dispensing medication, providing first aid, following health standards and practices set by the council and the state. RN or LPN licensed for MA or NH. Camp Favorite (MA), Camp Cedar Hill (MA) Camp Wabasso (NH).
Camp Rice Moody, Virginia and Winnetaska require a Health Supervisor with current First Aid and CPR certification. |
| Riding Counselor Camp Wabasso |
Implements riding program and care of horses. Documented experience in English and/or western riding instruction experience. |
| Boating Counselor |
Works with Waterfront Director to develop and implement the boating program. Documented experience in small craft teaching skills. Current certification as a lifeguard desirable. Favorite: canoes, sail boats- Sunfish, Hunter, Mercury, windsurfers; Wabasso: canoes, Sunfish; Virginia: canoes, fun yaks; Winnetaska: canoes, row boats, fun yaks. |
| Waterfront Counselor |
Works with Waterfront Director to implement waterfront program. Current lifeguard certification with CPR-PR. WSI desirable. Cedar Hill, Rice Moody pools; Favorite, Wabasso, Virginia and Winnetaska open water. |
| Program Manager |
Coordinates the development and implementation of Girl Scout program in camp through activities which will provide progressive learning experiences. Assists the Assistant Director in the management of unit programs. Supervisory and camp management experience required. |
| Program Counselor |
Responsible for development and implementation of specialized program areas. Assists in unit programming where needed. Training or teaching experience in program area and experience working with children required. Program areas include archery (Camp Cedar Hill and Wabasso) challenge course and cooperative games (Cedar Hill) computer (Camp Cedar Hill) drama (Camp Cedar Hill, Favorite, Wabasso, Winnetaska) biking (Camp Favorite) Nature and environmental awareness, outdoor living skills. |
