Leadership Development Pin
The Leadership Development Pin recognizes adult troop/group leaders, assistant leaders or group coordinators who demonstrate competence and continuous improvement and participate in training in subject areas that will increase their skills in working with girls.
Criteria for Selection:
- Applicant is a registered Girl Scout adult volunteer or staff member.
- The applicant has completed one successful year in the position of troop/group leader, assistant troop/group leader or group coordinator.
- The applicant has completed the basic job training for the age level (Orientation + Basic Leadership + Program Level - Daisy, Brownie, Junior, Cadette or Senior).
- The applicant has participated in at least two meetings or events beyond the troop or group (Service Unit, community, council).
- The applicant has completed training in first aid and camping or has secured an adult resource person who has successfully completed such training or its equivalent.
How to Apply:
The applicant submits an application to the Service Unit representative or GSC, which is reviewed by the local service team. If all requirements have been met, the recognition is authorized.
