Adult Recognition Membership Numerals & Years of Service Pins

Membership Numerals

Numeral guards are not considered "awards."  Adults may wear them on their uniforms to indicate total years of girl and adult membership in the movement. The years need not be consecutive. Numeral guards are available in 5 year intervals: for example, 5, 10, 15 and so on.

Presentation: Recognition for 5 through 25 years (in five year intervals) in Girl Scouting should be presented to individuals at an appropriate meeting, for example the Spring Area Association or Service Unit Event.

Recognition for 30 or more years (in five year intervals) may be presented at the Annual Meeting of the Council in April. It is the responsibility of the Service Unit Chairman to submit these names. Girl Scouts, Patriots' Trail Council will assume the cost of numeral pins presented at the Annual Meeting. Request for such presentations should be made by the deadline for Annual Meeting.
