Training: First Aid & CPR
Register Online
First Aiders in Patriots' Trail must be certified in first aid and CPR. The following organizations' certification courses are approved by GSPTC: The American Red Cross, National Safety Council, American Heart Association, EMP International, local rescue squads and fire departments. Equivalent training by other organizations may also be accepted.
Some individuals are considered first-aid certified as a result of training or licensing they have received professionally. These may include: physicians, nurses, EMTs, dentists, physical therapists, and other medical professionals or paraprofessionals whose licenses and certifications are current.
For all first aid and CPR courses, the number of participants is strictly limited. Spaces fill on a first come, first serve basis. For all day courses bring, pen/pencil, food, drink, and wear comfortable clothes.
If you register for a two day course you must attend both days in order to be certified. Medic courses certify both first aid and CPR for two years and you can not take them seperately. American Red Cross certifies CPR for one year and First Aid for three years and the two can be taken seperately.
